Family Fun

Ever wonder just what goes into that "M" rating on that video game. Do you allow your kids to play some games that are rated higher than their age depending on the reasons the game got the rating it did? If so, whattheyplay.com is just the site for you. They get into the particulars of that ESRB rating and can usually give you enough information about the game to decide if it's suitable for your children.

Another great feature of the site is the M-Rated Swap articles. This series helps suggest titles that are similar to the M-rated game your child but not as intense. A very nice site to have around for parents that pay attention to what their young'ns are up to!

A similar site for movies an DVDs is screenit.com. Membership is required for recent releases but it's free if you're not looking information on a film that has been out for a few weeks.
